Microgaming and Poker Stars Sign with Hippodrome Casino

Hippodrome Casino is taking steps towards opening an online casino with the two deals.

Land Casino Hippodrome has just opened in London’s Leicester Square and is already planning on opening up online.

Hippodrome has just signed a deal with leading online casino software provider Microgaming, and another with the world’s biggest online poker site, Poker Stars.

Microgaming will build Hippodrome’s online casino, and it will exclusively furnish Hippodrome with its unparalleled range of games and mobile gaming apps.

However, the exclusive Microgaming deal has been criticized by some who say that, as Hippodrome offers games from other operators like IGT and Aristocrat in its land casino, it should offer other games online too.

Nevertheless, Hippodrome CEO Simon Thomas, expressed his delight with both the Microgaming and Poker Stars deals.

“They bring unrivalled online profile and expertise that will allow us to harness the true potential of a bricks-and-mortar venue and its online presence,” he said.

When the new online casino is built, it will be operated by the Betaway Group.
